Hitachi Seaside Park, Japan

Hitachi Seaside Park is a flower park and popular tourist destination at Japan. The flower park had cover around 3.5 hectares. You will find different types of the flowers during different seasons. The park is actually famous with the blue nemophilas. Nemophilas is annual flower with transparent blue petal colour. During spring season, the flower will bloom all over the park. This is called 'Nemophilia Harmony' and attract most visitors in this season.

The plant is called Kochia, it can found in the park Ibaraki Perfecture. Kochia is clustered on the hill and most of the year it exist as clumps of greenery.
In the late of September, the grenish started to fall and becoming tinged with red. 

In the middle of October, the transforming of Kochia is complete. It becomes a beautiful sea with red colour.
The plant is mostly used by the Japanese as herbal medicine. The seeds can be eaten and called as tonburi. 

At Hitachi Seaside Park is also known as cosmos, a flower which is bloom around the same time as kochia turns scarlet. The hill will full of different colours of cosmos such as red,white, and pink. 
The nearest train station is Katsuta Station (勝田駅), from which the park’s entrance can be reached in 25 minutes by bus. There are also direct buses from Asakusa and Ueno Stations, which carry the passengers from Tokyo town to the entrance at Kaihin Kouen Iriguchi bus stop.
Hitachi Seaside Park operating hours at 9:30 a.m. everyday, the closing times is depending on the season. ranging from 4:30 to 6:00. At the months of September and October, it is the best time to see the kochia and cosmos together because their blooming season are around the same time, Hitachi Seaside Park will be open until 5 p.m. For this year, they official predict the kochia will retain their full color roughly October 20.
